Hotel with tastefully furnished rooms. The view from the rooms is worth seeing. Good quality breakfast and dinner. Service staff friendly and courteous.

A well-kept house with a large outdoor area. The staff is friendly, but seemed a bit confused that day, as everyone apparently served every table and it happened that they didn't know exactly what was already there and what had to come. Everything was made up for with friendliness. We ordered after looking at the next table, which had three plates with nice large schnitzel. In contrast, our schnitzel plate didn't look that great. There were two small schnitzel that did not reach the size of the next table. The look of my daughter betrayed the disappointment even if she said nothing. Otherwise, the food was really delicious and if we should end up here again, we'll stop by for a schnitzel. 😉

The restaurant had a great ambience. The premises were very clean. The food we had was delicious. Pea soup with a hearty sausage and schnitzel with french fries. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful towards the guests. The weather played along too, so that one had a nice view from the dining room. Everything can only be recommended.

Sensationally good cuisine from a family business in a fantastic location in front of the remains of a historic fortress. The fact that the cake we ordered together came after 1 minute, but the coffee only after 15 minutes (and later than our main courses), was just as astonishing and irritating as the decision not to enter personal data for CORONA tracking ...

Up on the mountain with a great view of Bad Harzburg and the surrounding area. A good selection of pies, cakes and ice cream. The tarte flambée looked so appetizing, unfortunately we weren't hungry ....

Fantastic view, super friendly and humorous staff, and above all: excellent food. The butter schnitzel is crispy, tender and, with the dollop of herb butter, wonderfully juicy and buttery. The goat cheese is also highly recommended. Here you feel really good!

Great food: schnitzel and the chicken was perfect. Iced coffee was awesome and cake was great. Service was very nice. As the other comments say. Don't rip off tourists, but rather "being here is good".

We sat on the terrace and had coffee. The coffee tasted fine. Unfortunately, there was temporarily no decaf coffee available. Nice view. Service started slowly but was friendly.

We stopped here after a hike. In Corona times it is advisable to reserve a table and here, too, mask compulsory dear visitors ... The staff is very friendly, the choice of menus sufficient and the food good, not cheap but justified. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back, but not on a weekend, as that was too much of a crowd.

Take the cable car up and enjoy the super beautiful view! Outdoor seating is also recommended with nice staff!

A really great excursion hotel in a very special location with a view over the Harz Mountains and the surrounding area. The hotel rooms are designed with a lot of love and attention to detail, not at all according to scheme F but with a lot of personal touch. Access to the hotel is not possible by car, but only by gondola or on foot. So deep relaxation is guaranteed upstairs. Only the service could be improved. The staff was friendly throughout, but the entire process in the catering seems a bit chaotic and does not correspond to the level of expectation that the hotel (and the prices) would otherwise want to promote.

Very nice and quiet hotel. The view is huge. Worth it! Breakfast and dinner very tasty. Unfortunately, the waiting times for the gondola are very long and you stand with all your luggage and wait. It would be nice if hotel guests had priority. Overall, it was a nice vacation.

Here we have found an idyllic place. The service and the drinks completely convinced us. Unfortunately we didn't try the food.

Food was delicious. The service at the table was very friendly and attentive. The view from the Burgberg on the city of Bad Harzburg is absolutely worth seeing. The foundations of the former castle are still there. Everything well signposted and explained.

Wonderful place! The star normally lost for being a bit too pricey is regained by the stunning view and the Altenauer Beer. It could offer a few more attractions for kids (what a great location for a big swing) and a view snacks on the normal menu. But apart from that it's very well done. A lot of lovely and often humorous details and have I already mentioned the view and the great local beer?

Great location with the best views in town right on top of the castle hill over Bad Harzburg. The rooms are charming, cozy and a perfect blend of classic and modern. The kitchen is fabulous, the service impeccable. What more can you want? Everything deserves at least six out of five stars aller my highest recommendation, perhaps the best in the Harz.

We had a wonderful, relaxing night and day here. Had a calm room with beautiful view. Defenetly coming back. Friendly and helpful staff. Travelling with a small baby was easy here. The cake was only ok but the food was delicious incl. the breakfast. #insta.na.da
